How to play

• Take turns describing the word on your card so the others can guess it.
• You can’t say the word itself or any of the four forbidden words under it. Typed clues block them automatically; if you say one out loud, anyone can hit Buzz.
• Guess out loud in the same room (the describer taps Got it), or type guesses when you’re remote.
• It’s a team game: the room counts its cards together.

How do I play Forbidden Words with friends online?

Press “Play with friends” to host a room, then share the four-letter code, link or QR code. Everyone joins on their own phone, in the same room or over a video call.

How many players can play Forbidden Words?

2–12 players. Up to 50 more people can watch as spectators.

Can I play Forbidden Words alone?

No, Forbidden Words is a group game: you need at least 2 players.
